from rains, storms and hot summer since insulation (optional)
is provided to keep the inside temperature low in summer
and warm in winter. |

to observe the routes, approaches folllowed by enemy forces,
anti national elements, terrorists and Smugglers attempting
to crossover the border. |

They act as early warning posts of
all activites and passing the information to their post
commanders. |

The observation Tower (Machan) protect
sentries from threats of small arms fire of opposite forces.

They provide the space for movement
of additional sentries who support on the tower since
sand bags on existing Machans occupy lot of space. |

The Observation Tower provide unrestricted
obersvation through the view slots and in case of threats,
the views slots can be closed by sliding bullet proof
steel panels. |

The Observation Tower can be nut
bolted. Hence,these are retrievable. When carried in transport
and if positioned on ground, these can act as bunkers
and retiring rooms for Jawans fully protected from opponent
fires. |

Provision can be made for sentries
staying in under-ground bunkers to safely climb up and
down the stairs from trenches itself fully covered from
opponents fire. |
