It is Crinkle matt in olive green shade.

Protection
Both in single and burst fires of 9 mm Pistol/Revolver/Carbine from 5meters.

Use of Optical Instruments
The Design of the helmet is such that it does not obstruct the use of binoculars(day and night),optical sight fitted on the weapons , range finders and artillery optical instruments like director etc.

Communication Equipment
Helmet does not hinder the use of hand held radio equipment. More over helmet is so designed that it permits use of earphone, throat mike and head phone.

Size & Weight
Supply size medium 54 To 57 cms and large 58 to 62 cms having maximum weight 1.2 and 1.3 Kgs. respectively.

Inner Lining
The lining/harness of the helmet is capable of moisture/sweat absorption. The Minimum gap between the harness and surface is 13mm.

Hrlmet meets ballistic,trauma,attenuation requirement as already given for ballistic helmet for ground troops.

Shock Absorption
Helmet incorporates a high impact liner requiring maximum residual acceleration 250 G when impact in a moving head with head energy (excluding Helmet weight of 75 Joules) to meet rigorous requirement of EN 966 standards.

Surface finish and Camouflage
Helmet is Crinkle matt finfish OG in colour with following camouflage covers to meet all time requirements of Air Borne Troops with each helmet.
A) Camo (Desert)
B) Camo WB (jungle)
C) Camo SN (snow)

Provision for visor
Suitable provision exists in helmet for attaching Poly-carbonate visior to provide limited protection against blast splinters and laser beam.
